Case study 1

This chamber was constructed within a factory floor and was designed to accommodate a decompression chamber to enable pressure testing of cast iron valves.

Despite the inclusion of a heavy duty bonded sheet membrane, the structure failed to resist the ground water pressure and the reinforced floor screed fractured and flooded as a result.

Following consultation with one of our suppliers we proposed the utilisation of a Type A system designed for use in a ‘negative’ pressure scenario.

Case study 2

As part of the treatment process the structure was constantly de-watered whilst the treatment products were applied.

The factory staff were making bets with us and the odds were getting longer on a daily basis.

The works were completed during a six day period and the flooded ‘hole in the ground’ was finally dry.

Another successful outcome for the Remcure team.
